Straight from the depths of “I didn’t see that collaboration happening”, Louis Vuitton commissioned local Toronto graf artist Skam to do a piece for the upcoming Stephen Sprouse Tribute collection.

After a little more digging, it started to make more sense. From this source I found out:

Who could forget Sprouse’s triumphant 2001 graffiti collection that shocked the runways and weeks later turned into cult collector’s items? Not only did this collaboration between Sprouse and LV’s artistic director Marc Jacobs turn into a fantastic, resounding success, it also paved the path for more celebrated collaborations for the near future

Ugh. How could I forget the 2001 show. My bad.

Anyway, lovers of Louis can peep the tribute collection here.
