Every Sunday the Sifter will highlight an article from the archives. In this installment, we travel to India to admire the incredible Cliff Temples in the state of Maharashtra. An UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Ellora Caves consists of 12 Buddhist, 17 Hindu and 5 Jain temples and monasteries built between the 6th and 10th century.
