Artist Turns Discarded Electronics Into Amazing Winged Insects

winged insects made from discarded electronics (18)

In our unending quest for faster and more powerful devices we often forget how much waste our old and outdated gadgets create. To highlight the issue of e-waste, artist Julie Alice Chappell upcycles found and discarded electronics, turning them into organic forms like bugs and insects.

You can find many more insect sculptures on Julie’s Facebook page which she frequently updates with her latest creations. The pieces are sold through her Etsy store but you have to be quick as they tend to sell out almost instantly.
