Teenager Solves Rubik’s Cube in World Record Breaking 5.25 Seconds

Watch Collin Burns break the world record for fastest 3x3x3 Rubik’s Cube solve with a time of 5.253 seconds. The previous record of 5.55 seconds was held by Mats Valk from the Netherlands.

The feat was accomplished during the final round of an official Rubik’s Cube competition on April 25 at Central Bucks West High School in Doylestown, Pennsylvania. Burns is the reigning 2014 US National Champion, averaging 7-8 seconds for 3x3x3 cube solves.
