DINESH MILLS BUNGALOW BY ATELIER DND Continued…
Design Challenges:
– Build a minimalist house with simple lines, uncluttered geometry and fluid transparent spaces
– Blend interiors with exteriors to keep owners in constant touch with the outdoor surroundings
– Design for family of three + support staff
Result:
– Main driveway leads to a white cantilever porch which defines the drop-off point for the house
– House is an extended spine from this point with various functions attached to it along its length
– Three outdoor verandas serve as attached semi-open entities to functions like living and bedrooms
– Outdoor pool and deck hugs the living spaces and master bedroom
– External staircase leads to terrace which features open Jacuzzi
