The Death Star Made From a Ping Pong Ball

This incredible miniature version of the Death Star made from a ping pong ball was created by a Japanese artist from Osaka. Unfortunately I’m a bit sparse on background info as all of the pages are in Japanese. The model was posted to fg-site.net where the artist goes by the username tatumaru5963.

On his profile page he has a link to his personal blog (http://blogs.yahoo.co.jp/crosstoasakaidaikane) where he goes by Tasumaru. Based on other projects shown in his profile he’s quite the model maker and his miniatures are very impressive.

The patience required to make such an intricate model given the fragility of a ping pong ball makes this all the more remarkable!
