MOTH TRAILS AT NIGHT

In this beautiful long exposure photograph (i.e., the camera shutter is left open for a period of time) by Steve Irvine, we see a group of moths swarming around a floodlight at night. The 20-second exposure lets us revel in the dizzying patterns the moths fly in as they are helplessly drawn to the light. The patterns created are simply beautiful.

For an explanation about why moths are drawn to light, check out this post on How Stuff Works.
