In this heart-stopping photograph we see a hiker overlooking Cape Town from Lion’s Head, a mountain in Cape Town, South Africa, between Table Mountain and Signal Hill. Lion’s Head peaks at 669 meters (2,195 ft) above sea level, forming Cape Town’s dramatic background as part of Table Mountain National Park.

The hike starts on Signal Hill Road, at the Base of the forestry rd. A moderate pace with stops will take a total of 2.5-3 hours. The terrain consists of: gravel road, rocky single track, and a steep section that has chains to assist your ascent/descent. The hike gets steeper at the top.
