Creative Dad Takes Most Adorable Kid Photos Ever

Jason Lee is a professional wedding and portrait photographer. He’s also father to Kristin and Kayla, two of the most adorable and photogenic kids on the planet.

Back in November of 2006, Lee’s mother was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. With Jason’s young kids being frequently sick (common for children at that age), it wasn’t always safe for them to be around their grandmother. So kristinandkayla.blogspot.com was born. It was a way for Jason to document the lives of his daughters and share them with his mom.

What makes this series standout from other creative family portraits is the time and effort put into the setup of the scene and Jason’s obvious talent for lighting. He says at least 90% of the shots use artificial lighting which really gives his photos that commercial feel. Jason even shares an album of ‘Behind the scenes‘ photos on Facebook.

Photoshop is also used to great effect, especially for the shots where they appear suspended or even flying. The ongoing series has been active for nearly eight years and has brought a great deal of joy to people around the world.

To keep up to date with the latest, be sure to find Kristin and Kayla on their Blog, Flickr, and Facebook.

Jason Lee is available for travel within the continental U.S. for weddings, family sessions and creative child portraits. For more information please visit JWL Photography.
