Better Out Than In, Banksy’s ‘one month artist residency on the streets of New York’, is sadly coming to an end. Each day of October has brought a fresh surprise and today was no different.
Located outside of a strip club in Hell’s Kitchen was the stencil above. The post was simply titled, Waiting in vain… at the door of the club
Hell’s Kitchen is a neighborhood of Manhattan in New York City between 34th Street and 59th Street, from Eighth Avenue to the Hudson River. According to Wikipedia, its gritty reputation kept real estate prices below those of most other areas of Manhattan until the early 1990s; however rents have increased dramatically since and are currently above the Manhattan average.
