Teenager Splices Portrait and Macro Photos into Miniature Fantasy World

Zev aka Fiddleoak is a wonderfully talented 14-year-old photographer that is well-known for his amazing photo manipulations. Hailing from Natick, Massachusetts, Zev skillfully splices portrait photographs with macro photos of nature, interiors and objects.

While Zev’s sister Aliza helps out with concepts and setup, all photography and editing is done by Zev, who started shooting six years ago at the age of eight. Around the same time he also started dabbling with Photoshop and his unique style has garnered him a large following on Flickr.

To really appreciate the level of effort and planning that goes into each of these surreal shots, drop by Zev’s blog where he treats you to behind-scenes-shots and delves into the process required to create each image.

The Sifter featured Zev’s work earlier this year, but it felt like a good time to check in and see what he has been up to since 🙂 For more from Fiddleoak, be sure to check him out at the links below.
