In this amazing over/under photograph we see a southern right whale underneath the boat of whale watchers off the coast of Argentina in the Peninsula Valdez. The whales come to these waters to birth their calves and mate.

The photo, by wildlife photographer Justin Hofman, is just one in an incredible series of photos from the day, which he describes as ‘life changing’. All images were taken under the supervision of Argentine authorities with all appropriate permissions and permits.
