In this amazing capture, we see a Gentoo penguin about to take a big bite into a GoPro camera in Antarctica. The image was shared on Gap Adventure’s M/S Expedition twitter account earlier this week.

The M/S Expedition is Gap Adventure’s cruise ship for Antarctic tours. The 105 m (345 ft) ship can accommodate up to 140 guests.

The Gentoo penguin (Pygoscelis papua) is recognized by the wide white stripe extending like a bonnet across the top of its head and its bright orange-red bill. Adult Gentoos reach a height of 51 to 90 cm (20 to 35 in), making them the third largest species of penguin after the two giant species, the Emperor Penguin and the King Penguin. Gentoos live mainly on crustaceans such as krill, with fish making up only about 15% of the diet. [Source]
