Small-Town Restaurant Asks Guests to Pin Where They’re From on a Map. It Looks Awesome

phil's fish market restaurant asks guests to pin where they are from on a map (1)

The tiny town of Moss Landing, California (population 204 as of 2010) is where you will find Phil’s Fish Market, a small-town restaurant with worldwide appeal.

The BBC proclaimed Phil’s one of the ‘World’s Best Beach Restaurants‘ and it has also been featured on several Food Network shows including: Bobby Flay’s Throwdown and Bobby and Jamie Dean’s Road Tasted.

At the entrance you will find a large map of the world that asks, “Where are you visiting from?”. Beneath patrons will find a large bowl of push pins. The map shown below is the FIFTH version, as previous maps are replaced when they get ‘too full’. Not bad considering the restaurant has been open for 13 years!

It’s a fun idea and great way to promote the restaurant’s international appeal.
