This year’s NCAA March Madness tournament held the semifinals and championship game at AT&T Stadium (colloquially referred to as Jerry’s World), the home of the NFL’s Dallas Cowboys. Completed on May 27, 2009 at a cost of $1.3 billion, the stadium features one of the biggest screens in the world, measuring 160 ft wide by 72 ft tall (49 x 22 meters).
By contrast, the basketball court below measures 94 ft long and 50 ft wide (28.6 x 15.24 m)
Final attendance numbers for Saturday’s Final Four matchups was 79,444. That’s a lot of people, but it doesn’t necessarily equate to a better atmosphere. The picture below says a lot…
