Artist Extends Photos Beyond Their Borders Using Colored Pencils

 

Jennifer Delaurenti is a fine artist specializing in the mediums of sketching and painting. Born and raised in Montana, she currently resides in Portland, Oregon. In an ongoing conceptual series, Delaurenti extends photographs beyond their borders using colored pencils. She then frames the finished composite blending photo and sketch into one hybrid artwork.

The artist’s son posted her work to reddit where it reached the top spot on the front page. Delaurenti has since opened an Etsy store where she is offering commissioned pieces.
