On 19 August 2014, mega popular boy band One Direction played their hits to a screaming throng of teenage fans at LP Field in Nashville, Tennessee. On location to capture the extravaganza was photographer Angelina Castillo, shooting for the Nashville Scene.
In between the moments capturing the band (which you can see here), Castillo pointed her camera towards the crowd, seeking out the dutiful dads that chaperoned their daughter and friends to the concert. These stalwarts of society deserve recognition.
So let these portraits of forlorn fathers stand as a testament to the love and dedication parents have for their children.
