Seen here is one of the many wind farms located in the North Sea. The photo was taken by Erard Swannet who was flying from Edinburgh, Scotland to Brussels, Belgium.
Judging from the 80+ turbines visible in this image and given the likely flight path from Edinburgh to Brussels, I am guessing this is the Sheringham Shoal Offshore Wind Farm which consists of 88 Siemens 3.6 MW wind turbines with a capacity of 317 MW.
Looking through this list of offshore wind farms in the North Sea, where strong winds are abound, it’s possible that it could also be the Thanet Wind Farm. Any experts out there that know for certain please let us know in the comments!
