chart explains aperture shutter and iso Simple Chart Shows How Aperture, Shutter Speed and ISO Affect Your Photos

Here’s a great chart for beginners that want to get a basic understanding of how aperture, shutter speed and ISO affect your photos. The chart doesn’t go into great detail and doesn’t explain why someone might use a higher ISO (e.g., in low light situations where you need a fast shutter speed), or how distance and the speed of a moving object impacts focus; but it does open up new concepts to beginners like depth of field, noise and motion blur.

It’s also best not to treat the numbers and associated ‘outcomes’ as absolutes as the quality of the lens/camera as well as the environment you are shooting in can affect your results. Nonetheless this is a good introduction into the exciting world of photography!
