On August 2nd, 2015, Spencer Seabrooke broke the free solo slacklining world record, crossing a stomach-churning 64 meters (210 ft) across a valley 290 meters (951 ft) deep—without any safety ropes or harnesses.
The daring feat was accomplished at the ‘Itus’ highline in the Stawamus Cheif north-north gully of Squamish, British Columbia, Canada.
Zac Moxley, who was piloting a drone to capture the attempt, remarks:
“This had to have been one of the most gut wrenching things I’ve experienced in my whole life, between operating the drone and watching him walk 290 meters above the Earth’s floor, it was definitely something I have never experienced.”
