Located on the Icelandic island of Heimaey (literally Home Island), is a rocky outcrop appropriately known as ‘Elephant Rock’.

At 13.4 square kilometres (5.2 sq mi), Heimaey is the largest island in the Vestmannaeyjar archipelago and the largest and most populated island off the Icelandic coast. Located four nautical miles (7.4 km; 4.6 mi) off the south coast of Iceland, Heimaey has a population of 4,500. The airport and the Vestman Island Golf Course cover a large part of the island. Seeing faces in random objects and buildings is actually quite common, in fact the psychological phenomenon even has a name—pareidolia. We even did a huge post of “50 Faces in Everyday Objects” a little while back.
