In this awesome time capsule from 1957, we see legendary author and illustrator Dr. Seuss, working on the main character for his latest book, How the Grinch Stole Christmas!

The famous children’s story was written and illustrated by Dr. Seuss and has since been adapted as a Christmas special twice. First in 1966 as an animated TV movie and again in 2000 as a live-action feature film. [source]

How the Grinch Stole Christmas! was the first book Dr. Seuss published after The Cat in the Hat.
