Young Child And Her Mother Asked For Her Aisle Seat, But When She Said No The Other Passengers Insulted Her During The Flight

It’s hard being a parent, especially travelling with young children.

A lot of people will help you out, but not everyone.

And sometimes saying no creates drama, like in this story.

Read about what this airplane passenger had to deal with.

AITA for not giving up my seat on the plane

I went on a 10 hour plane ride out of the country around a week ago.

I booked the aisle seat because I don’t like having to climb over people to go to the restroom.

They weren’t even in the air when things got intense.

We’re about to take off when a mother of, I think a 9 or so year old, comes up to me and asks if we can switch seats, (she had a middle seat).

I told her no and said I liked it for a reason.

She got very mad and started yelling and her kid was crying.

It got even more dramatic, with other people joining in.

I just put in my headphones and didn’t give AF.

When the plane landed I got nasty comments and was called a horrible person and an AH!

So AITA?

Here’s what people are saying.

I don’t get the entitlement at all.

She didn’t owe anyone her seat. Period. No context changes that.

Good idea. I don’t get why people cry foul over things that are their own fault.

I can usual spot scams easily, but this one is new to me.

What happens if you say yes? Do they steal from your bags?

I guess this could be recycled, but I bet it happens a lot.

I’d probably cry after that.

People are really serious about their airplane seat.
