Procrastinating tends to make some situations really serious and then the person procrastinating may use that to pressure you to help them.

But will the ex-wife in this story give in to her soon-to-be-homeless ex?

Keep reading to find out how she handled this.

AITA for not letting my ex, the father of my child, stay temporarily in my child’s bedroom?

I own a small house with only two bedrooms, one for me and one for my child.

His father’s rental is being sold, so he has no place to stay.

He has known that this was a possibility for 9 months and that he has to find a new place for 2 months.

She’s not optimistic, but is sympathetic.

However, he has not tried very hard.

Now he has only days to find a new place and it doesn’t look good for him.

But it’s still clear to her what she needs to do.

Yesterday he came to me to ask me if he can stay at my child’s room.

I refused because I don’t think it would have been only a few days, and I do not like being around him much.

AITA?

Here’s what folks are saying.

All great points. It’s messed up on so many levels!

I love this idea. Kids often don’t understand these things and it can be traumatic for them.

This. These things can get really bad.

It’s no easy feat! It was great to see so many people complimenting her.

Definitely not! He sounds like a man child.

Don’t give in!
