It’s hard enough navigating a poorly designed store without also having to dodge creepy men.
One woman dealt with exactly this conundrum when a man came barreling through the department store and started yelling at her, thinking she was an employee.
That’s the moment things went from frustrating to just plain ridiculous.

No I don’t work here
So today I ran out to my local upscale department store. They have a petite section and I needed pants.
Ended up walking through about half the darn store to find what I needed. In no way, shape, or form is this store laid out logically.
So I was already annoyed because you can NEVER find a sales clerk anywhere here.
But that’s when her shopping experience got even worse.
Again, I’m 5’2” on a good day and my husband always complains that he can’t find me in the clothing racks.
So here I am minding my own business after I found what I was looking for.
I hear some big dude coming through the women’s section like a freight train, yelling — “Hey, I found a woman!” (me). “Hey woman — you work here?” he literally screams at me from 20+ yards away.
I’m in a tank top and leggings (it’s freaking hot here!).
She’s not about to stick around to find out what this guy’s gonna say next.
When I realize he is yelling at me, I just say “Nope,” grab my cart, and walk away.
Nothing horrible, but seriously, having him YELL to me from so far away just makes me shake my head.
Does anyone have manners anymore?
She couldn’t help but notice this man’s complete lack of basic courtesy.
Redditors chime in with their thoughts.
What kind of way is this to speak to someone?
Is it this guy’s first day on earth or something?
It’s amazing how many seemingly unintentional things are actually by design, especially in retail.
Manners? Retail employees don’t get those.
She didn’t ask to be disrespected when all she was trying to do was finish her shopping trip.
Retail layouts can be confusing, but basic manners shouldn’t be.
