Walmart Customer Wonders How The Company Learned His Buying Habits When He Pays In Cash. – ‘I didn’t have any electronic devices on me.’

Companies love tracking your information so that they can offer you products that you are likely to buy.

One Walmart customer, however, went in without his phone and paid in cash, but they still knew what he purchased, and he wants to know how.

He began his video by saying, “Hey, how does Walmart know what I’m buying in cash? I got an email from them this afternoon that says, ‘Hey, can you rate this product that you purchased recently?’ And I did purchase that product recently from Walmart.”

That does seem weird.

He goes on, “I bought it in cash. I walked to the electronics section and bought a USB charging cable with cash and then walked out. And I know that the first thing, you’ve already started typing, it’s the Walmart app on your phone. Well, I don’t have the Walmart on my phone, and I didn’t even have my phone with me on this trip.”

Hmm, how could they have known then?

He explained the whole experience he went through, and as far as I can tell, he never gave them his information in any way.

He went on, “My phone was not on my person. I don’t think I even had my headphones on my person. I didn’t have any electronic devices on me.”

What could Walmart have been using?

He ended the video by saying, “So, how does Walmart know what I purchased in cash?”

It is a very good question. I can’t figure out how they would have done it. Unless he typed in his phone number or something, but I doubt he would have done that.

Watch the full video below and see if you can figure it out.
