Don’t people have enough to deal with at work already?
Why do some co-workers have to pile on, cause drama, and make things even more difficult?
It’s insane!
But we see stories like this time and time again…
Take a look at what this woman had to say about a co-worker she’s dealing with who is making her life extremely difficult…and she’s had just about enough of it.

WIBTA for reporting a contractor at my work to HR?
“I’m a 36F.
I work in an entirely male office that’s a part of a pretty large corporation, the branch I work in is all men.
My job is office-based as are some of the other jobs, but most of the people in my department and the site at large are blue collar. The person in question is a 40ish male – he works as a contractor for a specific onsite task.
Background: this guy worked here (as a contractor, called CA) previously. He left that company for a different job about 1.5 years ago.
At the time he left the first time we were friendly – we’d chat if he was in the office, my husband and I went to his baby shower, nothing weird, same relationship I have with most of my coworkers.
Uh oh…
Well he left, and after he left he started calling me regularly, like every other day at least. Nothing personal to him, I don’t like to talk on the phone, I didn’t answer but would text back and be like hey sorry, can’t talk on the phone, how’s the new job?
This went on for about 3 weeks and then he stopped, so I was like alright cool, thank goodness, that was awkward. Did not think much of it, again we were coworkers that were friendly, not friends.
A few months go by, I had a few personal tragedies happen in my life, was pretty consumed by depression, so I fell out of touch with a lot of people.
After getting through the worst of it, one day I saw an ad for the place he was currently working so I was like let me check in on coworker, hope he’s doing well.
She thought she was being nice…
I sent him something generic like “Hey, how is the baby? Hope you’re liking your new job!”
Comes back undelivered, he’d blocked me. And he did the same on social media.
I was like that’s weird, but whatever, I never have a reason the talk to this guy again anyway. I mentioned it to the other guy that worked for the same contractor (calling him CB), turns out CA also blocked him. Weird, but again, whatever.
A year goes by, through the grapevine I hear he’s coming back and then he does. I was 100% fine with pretending I didn’t know and didn’t care, I have worked with some much stranger people.
I was on vacation his first week back, but came back the second and saw CB who had also been blocked my first day and was like “Haha, has he been weird or did he say why he blocked us all?”
What is this guy doing…?
And this is where the HR thing comes in: CB told me that CA said he’d blocked me because he could tell that he was coming between me and my husband and he didn’t want to be the reason my marriage failed.
He has also told this to other actual coworkers that work in our shop (basically the other people in my department).
This is incredibly gross and completely untrue. And again, I’m the only woman here and that type of reputation is one I have actively avoided for my entire career because it’s impossible to get rid of once you have it, this place is full of gossips.
She was fired up about this.
I immediately go to the guy in charge of that contract and I’m like look, I don’t want the guy kicked out but I don’t want him near me either. We have no reason to ever collaborate and I don’t feel comfortable being alone around him.
Unfortunately, the main work terminal that that contractor uses is in a cube near me and they have to check it occasionally for readings (not to do actual work) and I am willing to accept that he has to come in and do that but I don’t want to have to sit near him while he socializes because he’s a creep and I definitely don’t want to be alone with him when all of my coworkers leave at 2 pm and I’m still here until 5.
You can’t blame her for feeling this way.
I brought this up to his boss and I told my boss, this started on the 11th.
I’ve brought it up again 2 times because nothing has been done and yesterday when he showed up to eat his lunch while chatting to the person in the cube next to me for 2 hours.
I AGAIN went to his boss and he basically gaslit me saying he didn’t understand why I was so upset about it but he again said he’d talk to CA (he has said this every time I’ve brought it up) but he continues not to do it.
My question is a) AITA for being creeped out by this statement (that is entirely without substance) and his passing it around to my other coworkers and b) WIBTAH for reporting him to actual HR because management is doing nothing?”

A Reddit user shared their thoughts about this situation.
This guy sounds like a TOTAL CREEP.
I think she should go ahead and report him to HR!
He’s asking for it!
This woman’s work environment has been turned completely upside down.
