It’s good to get off on a good foot when you move into a neighborhood, but that doesn’t necessarily warm you up to the people who live there.

See some signs that might suggest there is something unlikeable about you.

Nice Housing Estate Except For….

I live on a housing estate.

I moved here in September 2025 from previously renting a flat (which I had rented from 2018 to 2025) into another flat which was bought outright.

These folks sound nothing like my neighbors. That’s not a good thing.

I love my flat very much but the neighbours are not all that friendly. My dad and my twin sons helped me move in. My dad met one of the neighbours, said hello and was ignored.

I hope when I am elderly, I am not as bad tempered, bitter and cantankerous.

I spoke to another neighbour. We were alright up until Christmas last year and now we don’t talk.

My sister had a neighbor who was like this, except he was old and blasting his TV at all hours.

Neighbours who live across the road, well they own two BMWs and the youngest always turns up with the speakers in his car on max so you can hear his terrible drum and bass music.

He has no respect or consideration for anyone else who might be going to sleep or doesn’t want to listen to his awful music.

Thankfully a lot of people on this housing estate are nice and friendly, but all you need is a few bad apples.

Here is what folks are talking about.

“Soundtrack From Hell” reminds me of Tim Burton, though.

Some people fixate on things instead of moving on.

Well, I felt awkward just reading the story.

Resident hates his neighbors, especially the BMWs, for some reason.
