The war of parking spots just never ends, does it…?
Hell no!
Every day on our streets and in our parking lots, people are fightin’ and feudin’ over who’s gonna park where…and sometimes, it can get ugly.
In today’s story, a man talked about why he got into it with a woman in the parking lot of a hospital.
Check out what he had to say!
AITA for not giving up my parking spot?
“I recently had to drive my dad to the hospital after he fell and hit his head (don’t worry, he’s fine). When I got there, there was no parking available so I had to leave my car near the entrance with the flashers on while I took him inside.
I then went out to move my car, and had to drive around the block trying to find parking. As I was coming around to the entrance again, I saw a car pull out of a parking spot and leave.
There was another car in front of me that I thought would surely pull into that spot, but instead they drove right past it and pulled up to the entrance as if they were just dropping someone off.
Gee, sorry…
I pulled into the spot and started walking towards the entrance, when I heard the woman who had just gotten out of the car in front of me say “sir, do you really need that parking spot? We were going to park there and were just waiting for you to go around us.”
This seemed like nonsense to me because the hospital entrance is on a one-way street, so they would have either had to drive the wrong way or go around the block like I did to get to that spot.
I calmly explained that I was here accompanying my dad and that I had had to drive around the block to find a spot, but she didn’t seem satisfied with that answer.
Jeez, give it a rest…
When I got inside I overheard her telling the receptionist that the person accompanying her was out parking the car because someone had just stolen her parking spot.
Should I have just been the bigger person and given her the spot?”
