Neighbor disputes can get ugly. There are arguments over property lines, parking spaces, barking dogs and trees that drop approximately four leaves onto the wrong lawn. And then, apparently, there are condiment-based attacks.
One woman says her family’s relationship with a neighbor started deteriorating after his young daughter accidentally dinged her mother’s car door. What could have been a relatively minor disagreement somehow snowballed into years of bizarre accusations, multiple court battles and a neighbor who is convinced the mother and daughter are stalking him.
They insist they’re doing precisely the opposite: avoiding him as much as humanly possible.
Unfortunately, he allegedly hasn’t returned the favor. The neighbor has repeatedly tried to convince everyone from the HOA to the courts that he’s being targeted, sometimes armed with “evidence” that apparently consists of photographs of his lawn, his porch and other scenes whose relevance isn’t entirely clear.
And after losing three court battles against the family, his latest alleged move wasn’t another legal filing.
It was salad dressing. Yes, salad dressing. And somehow, this isn’t even the first sauce he’s accused of weaponizing.
This guy just threw salad dressing at my door
Some context: Like last year this guy’s young daughter slammed her car door against my moms car door…
Instead of pressing anything serious against him, my mom kindly offered to buy car paint which she would apply herself.
This would be under the condition he paid a small sum of money for it. She went to his door to ask for it, and he slammed it on her face… Ever since this moment he has lost 3 court battles to me/my mom.
Excuse me?
He is an exmilitary “pre-law student” at a nearby city college, as well as divorced father who gets his children on the weekend.
He really wants a protection order against us because he SINCERELY believes we are stalking him. Every single fucking time.
Every single time he brings this up to the HOA or the superior court they laugh it off. He brings in the same random pictures of nature, like his lawn, and it’ll just be an empty picture with nothing there.
Wow.
He just cannot adequately elaborate on it’s significance. There are several more pieces of recurring “evidence” just like this which he loves to submit. Pictures of his porch, pictures of my mom walking outside.
Its genuinely ridiculous 😭 Today he threw salad dressing at our door/doorstep after leaving us alone for the duration of his week long relationship. Like…ok???
Before we had our cameras he threw eggs and like bearnaise sauce or something too lmfao
This guy a chef or something?
He genuinely really enjoys coming to our home and just doing bullsh*t. This has happened to both me and my mom on several occasions… We will look out the window and he is already just standing there. Looking inside.
The issue with recording this is that our window cameras are “armed” so they record a clip when there’s movement next to it, but he stands at a distance that it doesn’t clip at
Like what does one do about this? Is there literally anything?
At a loss here.
He’s just kind of an idiot. We genuinely do not speak or interact with him in any capacity whatsoever, nor do we think of him when it is unnecessary.
My mother was on the HOA board for a while but quit due to the complacency of other members. The HOA does not care as long as his lease is funded (43 year old man, its funded by his mom.)
Okay i just really needed to complain thanks lol.
This story understandably left people somewhere between amused by the sheer absurdity and concerned about how persistent the neighbor’s behavior appears to be. Because while throwing salad dressing at someone’s front door sounds ridiculous—and admittedly inspires questions about what condiment might be next—the larger pattern described here isn’t particularly funny.
The mother and daughter say they’ve stopped interacting with him, yet he allegedly continues showing up near their home, looking through their windows and leaving things on their property. Add repeated accusations of stalking and unsuccessful attempts to obtain a protection order, and this has apparently moved well beyond two neighbors who simply don’t like each other.
The biggest piece of practical advice was to improve their documentation. Their current cameras apparently only capture movement within a limited range, which conveniently allows the neighbor to stand outside that zone. If these incidents continue, having surveillance that actually covers the relevant areas could provide a much clearer record than trying to explain each bizarre encounter afterward.
And as tempting as it might be to laugh off a grown man allegedly hurling sauces at a door, repeated unwanted behavior is worth taking seriously. Avoiding retaliation or unnecessary interaction also seems especially important given that he has already accused them of stalking him. If anything escalates, they want their own behavior to remain exceptionally boring and well documented.
Maybe the strangest part is how far this apparently traveled from its origin: a child’s car-door ding that Mom was initially willing to repair herself. Years and three court losses later, they’re reportedly cleaning salad dressing off the front step.
This person has a thought.

This person says this guy needs some boundaries.
And this person says it might be time for a protective order.
Some neighbor feuds simmer. This one apparently comes with vinaigrette.
