I’m gonna go on the record right here and now and make a big declaration: I’m not crazy about people being able to eat full meals in movie theaters.

Sure, the classics are fine: popcorn, candy, soda.

But this trend of people eating everything under the sun is just too much!

The guy who wrote this story got fed up with a guy going to town on an Italian dish and he decided he couldn’t take it anymore.

AITA for calling the managers and getting someone kicked out of the cinema for eating spaghetti?

“I went to see Spider-Man Brand New Day at the cinema and was really looking forward to it because I had been waiting ages to see it.

You don’t see that every day!

About 15 minutes into the film I noticed the guy sitting a few seats away from me had brought a whole box of spaghetti into the cinema.

At first I thought maybe he would just eat it quietly, but no, he was opening and closing the box, scraping the fork around the inside, twirling huge amounts of spaghetti onto it and then loudly slurping it.

This is pretty annoying…

I tried to ignore him because I didn’t want to miss the movie, but it became incredibly distracting, especially during quieter scenes when you could hear the fork scraping against the box and him chewing.

On top of that, the smell of tomato sauce and whatever else was in the spaghetti was really strong and kept wafting over to where I was sitting.

He was tired of dealing with this.

I eventually went outside and spoke to a member of staff and explained what was happening, and they said they would go and ask him to keep the noise down.

I went back in and for a few minutes it seemed like he had stopped, but then he started again, except this time he was somehow making even more noise with the box and fork.

At that point I went back to the staff and spoke to a manager because I was honestly getting annoyed and felt like I was paying to watch the film, not listen to someone eat dinner next to me.

The manager went into the screen and spoke to him, and after a few minutes the guy was asked to leave.

Smell ya later, pal!

As he was leaving, he was complaining that I was being ridiculous and said he had every right to eat his food and that I had got him kicked out over “some spaghetti.”

I didn’t say anything back because I didn’t want to cause an even bigger scene, but now I’m wondering whether I went too far.

I know cinemas sell food and drinks and people are obviously allowed to eat, but bringing an entire box of spaghetti into the cinema and loudly eating it throughout spider-man seemed like a completely different level of annoying, especially after staff had already spoken to him once.

My friends think I was justified because I tried to ignore it and went through the proper channels instead of confronting him, but another friend said I should have just put up with it because it was only food and getting someone removed from a cinema is excessive.
