Jeez, talk about adding insult to injury

It’s bad enough to have to deal with roommates who are disrespectful, rude, crude, and ignorant, but what this woman has had to deal with is just too much!

She went into detail about how her former roommates treated her like garbage and even trashed the place…ugh!

Read on and see what you think.

Ex roommates treated the whole house as if it was theirs.

“These roommates moved out in a huff last year because they couldn’t deal with me standing up for myself.

And they trashed the place on their way out.

Yikes!

Damaged walls, doors, threw all my things everywhere, etc..

The living situation:

3 bedroom /2 bath ranch house with a 2 car garage and an unfinished basement.

Rent is $2,340 including water. Plus $350 average for electricity and gas (this dropped by $75 when they moved out) and $101 for internet. They paid $1,100 and I paid the rest.

They were occupying the 3 bedrooms upstairs, one garage bay as well as one bathroom. The dining room, kitchen and living room were all furnished by me. (65” smart tv, sectional sofa, bookcases, dining set, etc…).

I was sleeping in a sectioned off area in the unfinished basement.

This was not good…

They treated the whole upstairs like it was theirs and didn’t let me occupy it outside of going to the bathroom or making food. They used one of the bedrooms as an art studio but still ruined my dining table with resin craft and acetone.

They refused to share basic food ingredients (milk, butter, eggs, cheese) obviously sharing cost as well. They had their own sections of the fridge I wasn’t allowed to touch, they even had their own freezer in the garage. There was duplicates of everything in the fridge and it would constantly go bad

They acted like I wasn’t allowed to be seen in my own house and the entire main floor belonged to them.

Good riddance!

They ended up moving out upset and screaming because I came upstairs one day to make myself lunch holding my cat. They even acted like my pets weren’t allowed upstairs.

Who’s in the wrong here? Were they right to not allow me upstairs? Or are common areas for everyone?”

A Reddit user had a lot to say after reading this story.

These folks were awful!

Well, at least this whole experience is now in her rearview mirror.

It’s a good thing she got rid of these awful roommates!
