Yes, that sounds a bit harsh, but drastic times call for drastic measures.

And I know that if I was dealing with what these folks are going through, I’d have a hard time biting my tongue…

My neighbor will not shut up.

“We recently moved to a new house with a beautiful view of a lake & a horse farm, and we put in a pool.

Oh, no…

We want to sit outside & enjoy nature but our neighbor won’t shut up.

Our neighbors are nice people, but their adult child lives with them (mid 40s; works very part time) and is a problem.

They sit on the side porch facing our house and yell into their phone, on speaker, for hours. At least 5 days a week, no exaggeration. Some days it starts at 10 am and is still going when we go to bed at 10 pm.

What are these people doing?!?!

Today I got home around 3 and they were at it- it’s now 10 and they are still out there. Some nights they are screaming profanity and abusing the person on the other end of the phone.

We don’t want music but we tried bringing out a Bluetooth speaker, they yelled over “great song”.

I would talk to the parents but I’m fairly certain they banished them outside because they didn’t want to hear it.

This sounds pretty brutal…

The other night we thought we had some peace, then they walked out, turned on their Harley and left it to idle for over an hour.

My husband and I have stressful jobs, we worked really hard to get here. We spent a lot of money for this house and would like to be able to enjoy our home.

I am not unreasonable, neighbors have kids and parties and dogs, but screaming for 7+ hours a day is too much.

How do I get this person to realize their behavior is not appropriate?”
