Have you ever had the displeasure of living with someone who would never lift a finger to help out around the house?

Someone who never cleaned, scrubbed, vacuumed, or even tidied up?

Well, if you have, you already know how frustrating that is.

And, if you ask me, that’s pure laziness.

Ugh!

Can you tell I’ve dealt with this before?

In today’s story, a woman explained why she’s had just about enough of her lazy roommate’s attitude.

Annoying Roommate.

“I recently moved in with a friend and my boyfriend.

After a few weeks of living together we all sat down and created a roommate agreement (something I let them know would be absolutely necessary if we were going to live together).

We discussed trash and recycling days as there are three of us and the bins need to be placed on the curb 3x a week, we all chose a day.

We did the same thing with unloading the dishwasher and I let her pick her first since she didn’t want any weekdays.

But when a roommate doesn’t stick to the plan, it can create problems.

Sunday is her day (today) and her mom has been visiting which is a completely other thing but I notice the trash was taken out and not the recycling.

Today is technically her “put the trash bin outside on the curb” day so when I asked her if she could also take out the recycling she responded “that’s not my job, recycling is on Wednesday”

And I said, “well recycling and trash both need to be taken out if it’s your turn.”

It’s not that big of a deal!

She then got up and stomped to the recycling bin, slammed the front door and went and locked herself in her room ALL WHILE her mother is sitting in the living room witnessing the entire thing.

It’s so frustrating that I even discussed during our roommate agreement that the “assigned” trash/recycling day is JUST what bin you have to put on the curb and its expected that if it’s your turn that EVERYTHING is taken out.

I guess she just expected the recycling would sit full with her two pizza boxes until Wednesday and according to her our recycling only gets full once a week!”
