I’m gonna go on the record here and say that I could totally see the kind of behavior you’re going to read about happening between teenagers or maybe college students…
But nobody this guy’s age should be acting this way!
What am I talking about?
Well, the woman who wrote this story opened up about the immature behavior her boyfriend exhibited and it sounds like this fella has some serious growing up to do.
Read on and see what you think.
AITA for asking my boyfriend to take a 15-minute walk during my second job interview?
“My boyfriend (28) and I (33) live together in a loft with one bedroom.
This morning I had a second-round interview at 11:30 a.m. for a job I really want. I recently left my previous job, so getting this one is really important to me.
I wanted to do the interview at our kitchen table because that’s where I have the best set up. We have a bedroom upstairs, but there’s no desk or workspace there. Also I didn’t want to lay in the bed with my laptop.
Before the interview, I asked him, “Can you do me a huge favor? Would you mind taking a 15-minute walk while I do my interview?”
I asked because I wanted a quiet apartment and thought it would help me focus. I wasn’t telling him he had to leave, just asking if he’d be willing to do me a favor.
He really got upset about this…?
He immediately said he didn’t understand my thought process and asked, “What planet are you from to even ask something like that?” He also said, “What if I had a meeting at the same time?”
He didn’t actually have a meeting—it was just a hypothetical. If he did, I wouldn’t have asked… then I would have just gone to the room…
He also said that we both live here and he shouldn’t have to leave his own home just because I had an interview.
When I told him I thought it mattered that I asked politely and that I had started with, “Can you do me a huge favor?”, he responded with something like, “If I asked you nicely to eat poop, would you do it?”
Wow…this guy sounds like a total creep.
His point was that asking nicely doesn’t automatically make a request reasonable.
At one point he also asked, “Do the cats have to go too?”
I laughed and jokingly replied, “Yeah, sure, take the cats too.”
It was obviously a joke, but the conversation turned into an argument, and he said I was being a jerk for even asking.
I understand that it’s our home and he has every right to stay there. I just thought asking for a one-time, 15-minute favor before an important second interview wasn’t unreasonable.
I wasn’t upset that he said no—I was more surprised by how strongly he reacted to me asking in the first place.
AITA for asking?”

Is this guy immature, or what?
I’d sure say so!
And that’s only the beginning of the names that could be applied to this fella.
Bottom line: her boyfriend sounds like a controlling jerk.
