My partner and I had a baby 10 weeks ago.

Since my baby was born, I have asked all family members not to kiss my baby.

I don’t mind on the head, but anywhere near the face, lips, or cheeks, I don’t want it happening.

I personally think it’s slightly weird to kiss a baby on the lips if you’re not the parents.

But also, any sickness or illness, I don’t want spread to my daughter.

This woman noticed that her brother-in-law was always kissing her baby.

My husband’s brother-in-law, my husband’s sister’s boyfriend, keeps kissing her on the face.

I have told the family time and time again, and he nods like he agrees.

Then 10 minutes later, he’s holding and kissing her.

If he’s not kissing her, his face is always in her face.

He’s not a creep, so I don’t mean he’s being weird, but I think it’s disrespectful how he is just not listening.

Even when he was sick, he kept being close to the baby.

And yesterday, he was over with a cold and a chest infection, and was all up in her face.

How do I change this without causing problems because it is really annoying me?

And I don’t want my 10-week-old to be getting sick.

He was so sick he had to go upstairs for a lie down.

I just can’t believe I’m even writing this. It annoys me to the point I don’t want him coming over.

Ugh! It’s really disappointing when a grown-up keeps ignoring a clear boundary with a baby.

Kissing the baby while sick makes the situation even more concerning.

I agree that OP should be able to enforce the rule firmly without feeling guilty about protecting her baby.
