Some people make it really hard to keep giving them another chance.

For one man, that person is his friend’s girlfriend.

He’s getting married soon, but she has repeatedly disrespected both him and his fiancée and even said their marriage wouldn’t last.

Then, after another argument at his family’s cabin, he finally decided he didn’t want her at the wedding.

Now his friend says he won’t come without her, and the groom is wondering if he should stand his ground or risk losing the friendship.

Keep reading for the full scoop.

AITA for telling my friend that he can’t bring his girlfriend to my wedding?

I am 27M and getting married in a few months. My friend, 26M, has a girlfriend who I really don’t like because of her character. I have tried to get along with her several times, but she keeps on being disrespectful.

A few weeks ago, she told my fiancé that our wedding was “a waste of time” and that I would end up leaving her after a few years once I set my eyes on another girl.

My friend laughed it off and said that’s how she jokes.

When the girl got drunk, she really crossed the line.

Then, last Sunday, we all decided to hang out at my parents’ old cabin in the woods. She got drunk, and she told me I was “acting like a kid” because I told her not to smoke inside the house. She also got into an argument with my fiancé.

After that situation, I told my friend I didn’t want her at the wedding. I told him he was still invited and could bring another date if he wanted to, but not her.

He got really mad and said I was just trying to control his relationship and also cause issues between him and his girlfriend. He told me as long as she’s not invited, he’s not going to be there either.

Now, he’s not sure what to do.

My parents think I should just invite her because it’s just “a day event,” and they don’t want any family drama, as my friend and I grew up together and our families have been friends over the years.

My fiancé said she’s okay if she’s there or not. She doesn’t really have an issue, but she completely understands why I don’t want her there.

Now I’m wondering if I am just being paranoid or unreasonable. I don’t want anyone to openly disrespect me at my own wedding, but then again, I don’t want to lose my relationship with my friend over this.

AITA?

Yikes! It’s kinda crazy his friend is willing to throw it away over her.

Let’s see how the folks over at Reddit feel about what’s going on.

This is a good point.

He can only hope.

Here’s someone who encountered a rude person at their wedding.

Yes, because wording does matter.

He has every right to leave her off the guest list.

She’s already disrespected both of them more than once, so there’s no reason to risk her causing another scene at the wedding.

And if his friend decides not to come because of that, then that’s his choice.

At some point, he needs to stop making excuses for her behavior and understand why she isn’t welcome.
