Last weekend I hosted a small game night at my place and a few of us planned it for weeks.

But the host had one big request for the game night.

I told Michael ahead of time that I didn’t want his cousin there because the last couple times he came over he made things awkward by arguing with everyone about rules and refusing to take turns.

I sent Michael a quick text saying I wanted to keep it to the usual group and he said he understood.

Soon it was revealed that Michael wasn’t prepared to respect boundaries.

When the night came he showed up with his cousin anyway, so I pulled him aside and asked if the cousin could head out.

Then Michael started blaming her for everything.

He got quiet and said I was being rude and making things weird for everyone else. Later he texted that I embarrassed him and that his cousin felt excluded.

But she still thinks she did the right thing at the end of the day.
