I (16M) got a medal and a piece of paper for something I did at an athletics club.

My dad told me he was going to show up and then take me to Burger King or wherever I wanted to go.

He gave the impression it was just him who was going to be there.

He showed up with my stepmom and little stepbrother, and he was talking to them the whole time.

This teenager ended up going to KFC with his dad, stepmother, and stepbrother.

Afterwards, we went to KFC. It was KFC in the end.

It was just a mess. He was talking to them the whole time again.

And my stepbrother kept jumping in and being loud as crazy.

We got home, and I was annoyed at my dad.

I asked him why he even brought them, and he got all huffy with me.

He said that’s a normal thing to do to bring your family members.

He thought the whole thing was ruined because his dad brought his new family with him.

I said they just ruined it.

He could’ve just made time for me instead of making another thing a “whole family thing”.
