For context, he came into town to visit myself and a few other friends.

We spent some time in Atlanta, and then I drove us 2 hours to the lake house where we stayed from Thursday till Sunday.

He booked an 8:50 a.m. flight on Sunday. Mind you, the airport is an hour and a half from the house.

He knew this and also knew there would be 5 guys at this house drinking all day on the boat.

And staying up late playing video games.

This man thought it was unreasonable to book an early flight and expect people to wake up early in the morning.

I think it’s an absolute jerk move to book a flight that early.

With the expectation that I, my girlfriend, and my dog would all need to get up early and leave.

This would leave my other friends at the house alone the morning after we boat and drink all day.

I pitched the idea of splitting the cost, $60 on his end, and he got angry.

Mind you, he makes multi-six figures, so $60 is nothing.

He decided to pay for the Uber himself.

I didn’t even bother following up and just paid for the whole Uber myself.

But am I crazy in thinking it’s a jerk move to book a flight that early, knowing full well what the weekend plans were the day prior?

If I wanted to get a remotely good night’s sleep, I would need to be in bed by 9 p.m. to wake up at 5:30.

Yup, booking an early flight sounds like a questionable choice.
