Sometimes, all it takes is one small thing to ruin an entire evening.

In today’s story, we’ll meet a stroke survivor who witnessed this firsthand while out to dinner with her husband.

What started out as a nice night of celebrating her husband’s new job quickly turned into a nightmare.

It all started when she accidentally spilled her “expensive” drink.

Her husband went to the bar and made sure everyone knew what happened, then continued making comments when her replacement arrived. Really, all she wanted was to leave at that moment, but unfortunately, she’s in a wheelchair and couldn’t do that.

AITAH for sulking at my husband’s dinner treat?

My husband treated me to dinner to celebrate finding a job after more than 5 years of depending on me financially.

It was nothing fancy, but in the middle of dinner, I tipped over my drink and the first thing he said was “that was an expensive drink.”

No napkins for me whatsoever.

Then he went to the bar and said, “She spilled the drink! She spilled the drink! She hasnt had a sip and she spilled the drink!”

And when the new drink arrived, he still couldn’t let it go.

The staff told him that it will be an additional order to which he replied, “It is what it is.”

Then when the new drink came, he snickered, “Let’s hope she doesn’t spill it this time.”

I wanted to walk out of the restaurant, but alas! I’m recovering from stroke and in a wheelchair.

AITA?

Wow. That guy sounds like he has a lot of nerve.

They probably were judging him.

A good husband would’ve realized she was embarrassed and let it go.
