Neighbors dog won’t stop barking

We live in an apartment building, and we recently got some new neighbors who have a dog.

Their bedroom shares a wall with our bedroom, and they keep their dog in there.

Since last week when they moved in, all day, every day, their dog has been barking nonstop.

I deal with pretty intense migraines sometimes, which worries me on top of it just being blatantly annoying.

This woman started thinking about filing a noise complaint against her new neighbor.

Last night, I had a very hard time sleeping, so I called in late to work in hopes to get a couple hours of sleep.

I might as well have gone in at my normal time, because right at 7 am when I was supposed to start, the dog starts barking.

I went into the next room over, and I can still hear it through the walls.

I don’t want to be a jerk because they just moved in, but this is getting really old, really fast.

Would I be in the wrong filing a noise complaint with my landlord?

Nonstop barking from a bedroom directly beside yours would be incredibly difficult to ignore.

It’s understandable why OP was feeling that way, especially without complete rest from the night before.

I think giving them a chance to address the problem would be reasonable.
