It’s not easy for anyone, is it?

We work for years and years, we do our best, and sometimes, we still end up at the bottom of the ladder.

It’s tough out there!

But you gotta keep pushing forward…no matter how tough it seems.

In today’s story, a tech worker opened up about how he’s not sure what his next move should be after he was fired.

Let’s take a look at what he had to say.

I’m 60. I’ve worked in tech for the last 30+ years. Just got fired…again. I probably won’t get another tech job the rest of my life, and I’m kind of okay with that.

“I’m just so tired of trying to stay on top of companies and managers who expect perfection…but don’t budget for it (in terms of time, staffing, or wages).

He’s burned out…

I can’t actually retire just yet for financial reasons, and a handful of medical issues keep me from picking up any in-person, low-level jobs (i.e. – store clerk, etc.), but I’m not certain I care.

Now what’s he supposed to do…?

I’m still applying for similar tech jobs, but I can’t expect that I’ll last long at whatever the next job is.

Does anyone have suggestions for a job that is middle ground on this?

Something where your responsibilities are in a smaller circle, but still requires someone with my education, training and intelligence?”
