One of my biggest pet peeves in life is having to repeat myself over and over and over again.

How many times do you have to tell someone the same thing before it registers in their brain?

Well, some people never get the hint, and that is completely frustrating.

The woman who wrote this story tried to tell her traveling companions again and again that they needed to keep it down when they stayed at an Airbnb…

But they just wouldn’t listen!

The time we almost got kicked out of an Airbnb because of my entitled friends.

“A couple of years ago I had the privilege to study abroad for a semester in a different country than mine. Don’t wanna say which one it was, so let’s say it was Germany.

The friends I made there… well, not really friends, companions more like, as well as me, were all from different parts of Europe and one day, we went on a trip to Warsaw. We were going to stay in an Airbnb for two nights and then go back to Germany.

That’s kinda rude…

I have no clue why they thought it was a good idea, but they decided to blast music in a bluetooth device at midnight, like a kind of pre-party before going out to party.

I kept telling them, over and over again, to lower the volume and stop singing so loudly, that we were in a foreign country and that the neighbours would get mad.

Even tried to get the bluetooth myself to lower the volume because truthfully, it was way too loud and I didn’t want to get into trouble, but they kept taking it away from me.

They poked fun at me, saying to relax and that it was okay. They didn’t listen to me until they finally left to go party. I don’t like parties that much and I was kinda sick, so I stayed home.

Big shocker!

Surprisingly, we got no noise complaints that night.

Well, the next morning, the girl who had reserved the Airbnb got a text from the host telling us to pack our bags and to leave.

He told her that the neighbours had called the police last night, hearing loud music coming from his house, so they called the police, complaining about the music that came from the place we were staying at and the cops called the host.

The host explained the situation and after that, he sent the message saying we had to leave.

She tried to tell them!

I was scared and mad at them. I had warned them, time and time again, to lower the volume, but did they listen?!

No!

So, we were getting kicked out, with good reason as well, and if we didn’t find a solution soon, we were going to spend the remaining night out on the streets. It was winter, and cold as hell.

The girl with his contact begged and begged with the host, saying we were only staying for one night more, but he wouldn’t budge and we were starting to panic and searching on the internet for nearby hostels to stay at.

Finally, the host said he’d send the cleaning lady to the house to see how it looked.

Thankfully, we hadn’t stayed for that long, so we quickly cleaned up the dinner we had made from the previous night, washed the dishes, cleaned up the bedrooms and then waited for the cleaning lady to arrive.

She was so freaking nice to us and spoke in Ukrainian with two of the girls of the group, clearly seeing that we were scared of being kicked out.

Phew!

She called the host on her phone and she must’ve vouched for us, because she was able to convince him to let us stay the night, saying the house was clean and that we were on our best behavior with her.

Needless to say, after the cleaning lady left, I scolded them strongly, was still mad at them, all while they laughed nervously.

Almost had the urge to take the bluetooth and throw it in the trash can.”
