When you bring kids to a store, you need to keep a close eye on them not just for their own safety, but the safety of everyone around.

Unfortunately, some parents seem to just let their kids run wild and can’t be bothered with the consequences.

That is the case in this story, where a parent let her two boys run wild, and when one of them accidentally hurt another kid, she just ignored the situation while she checked out with her clothes.

Some parents are very selfish and do a horrible job at watching their kids. Check out the full story below.

Bad Parenting? Bad Manners? Or Both?

I work at a kids clothing store, so I’m sure you can imagine the number of parents and parenting styles I’ve seen throughout my shifts at work.

She needs to keep an eye on these boys.

One day, I’m out on the sales floor, putting things away, and a woman with two boys comes in. The two boys are probably around 6-7 and 2-3 years old.

So, this woman seems to go right to the back of the store to look at things while her two boys wonder around the front.

People who let their kids run wild are awful.

I understand that even having one child under the age of 6 is tiresome to say the least, and I guess a sense of apathy stemming from fatigue isn’t really condemnable.

However, you’d think that a parent would check on their kid(s) every few minutes or so to make sure, oh, I don’t know they haven’t left the store, haven’t been kidnapped, or in this case, hadn’t accidentally elbowed another kid in the face.

Oh, let’s see what actually happened.

Oh wait, no, she was there to witness that part, but was too busy paying for clothes to see if the other kid was okay.

To give a little bit more context here, while these two kids where running amok, a family with a 2 year old came in.

Ouch, poor kid.

So, while this other family was shopping around, the mother of the two boys was coming up to the cash desk to get a few things and while this was happening, her eldest elbowed this 2 year kid in the face.

It was an accident and the parents of the child were super nice and understanding toward the boy- saying that they saw that it was an accident and that it was okay.

Apparently she doesn’t care whether the kids are ok or not.

Now, when this is all happening, the mum turns her attention toward the situation for maybe 2 seconds, doesn’t say anything, turns back to my co-worker who’s cashing her out and finishes the transaction.

The mother and the two boys then walk out of the store, without so much as an acknowledgement to this family. I think I lost just a tiny bit of my faith in humanity that day.

It is wild that she doesn’t even care if the kid was hurt, what caused it, or anything else. Some parents are just lost in their own selfish worlds.

Read on to see what people had to say about this story.

Parenting takes work, but it is your responsibility.

No good parent would let this happen.

Nah, the other parent should have yelled at the kid or the mom.

Now this is how you handle the situation.

If you bring a kid somewhere, you are responsible for it.

What kind of parent just lets their kids run wild like this? It is not safe or healthy.

The parents of the kid who got hurt should have been more upset.
