There are seriously some crazy people in the world, but you don’t always know who they are until they don’t get their way. Then, watch out!
That’s what happened in this story which takes place in a retail store. One of the employees overheard most of the drama but got pulled into it before the customer left the store.
When she came back, it got even crazier.
Keep reading for all the details.
Can’t get approved for cellphone? Demand gas money for “wasting” her time.
So I work in customer service at a retail store which means I work both front checkout and returns.
While taking care of customers I notice one of the cashiers is working on a cellphone activation contract.
The way our system works is that you need to have either a valid debit or credit card so we can take an imprint of the card to activate the contract, I’ve only seen 3 people who did made a fuss about this in the time I’ve been here. The cashier (CS) then asks for a credit card to finish the transaction.
Crazy spoiled girl (SG) was mortified at the fact she needed a credit card to activate a contract and the exchange went as so.
She did not want to use a credit card.
SG: Why do I need to give a credit card when I paid for the phone?
CS: Well our system requires a card to be able to link it to a credit system.
SG: But I’m paying cash for this! I don’t need to give anything else.
CS: Sorry but without a credit card I cannot do anything else to help.
She said the magic words.
SG: This is so much nonsense I want to speak to your supervisor!
So our supervisor goes up and tries to explain we need the card for the credit history and nothing more, that we will not charge the card for anything.
After a while SG finally calms down and leaves the register to make a call. She moved closer to where I was and heard her having a conversation with her mom on her phone about trying to get a card to help her out.
I assume her mom refused because the next thing she said was “YOU FREAKING WITCH” and hung up and threw her phone into her basket. She then returns to the register and cancels the transaction and walks away. She then proceeds to face me and a friend of mine in the register next to me.
She has a question.
SG: Can you guys give me some gas money?
Me & Friend: Uhh, we don’t have money to spare sorry.
SG: THAT’S NONSENSE, YOU GUYS WASTED MY TIME AND YOU WONT HELP ME GET HOME?
Me: Well sorry we couldn’t help you out today, but we can’t change what the system tells us to do.
She asks an even crazier question.
SG: Fine then, can one of you give me a ride home then?
Me and my friend just stare at her in disbelief and just say “No we don’t get off for a while”.
We then see SG walk outside and leave the store while everyone at the checkout starts laughing to themselves.
I thought that would be the end of it but we were wrong.
Yikes! This girl sounds crazy!
My shift changed to go to returns and off I headed only to see SG walking back into the store. She then headed straight to a area where we sell camping gear which also includes knives.
She asks around as to which one is cheaper and grabs the cheaper one and heads to front checkout to buy it. Instead of heading for the door she heads to the bathroom.
At this point LP has already been notified she is back in the store was suspicious of her surfing through hunting knives and called the police as a measure.
The girl walks out of the bathroom to her surprise and saw officers waiting for her. They escorted her to the LP office and found out she had opened the hunting knife and had it in her pocket. Kind of scared me thinking what could have happened if they had not called the cops.
I’m glad they called the police.
Let’s see how Reddit responded.
This person is curious what she was going to do.
Another person is glad they called the police.
This person is partly on the customer’s side.

I assume she didn’t have a credit card.
I can kind of see why she was upset. She paid cash, and it sounds like she didn’t have a credit card. What’s she supposed to do?
Her reaction was pretty crazy though. Calling the police was smart.
