Is part of being a good sibling lying for your brother or sister?

Well, as someone who has four siblings, I think the answer is YES.

But that’s just my humble opinion…

And the woman who wrote this story obviously isn’t on the same page as me!

Check out why her and her sister and currently having some issues with each other…

AITA for refusing to cover for my sister after she lied to our parents?

“My sister asked me to cover for her last weekend because she told our parents she was staying at my place.

Hey o!

She actually went on a trip with her boyfriend.

I didn’t really care where she went, and honestly I didn’t want to get involved. But when my mom called me and asked if she was with me, I said no.

My sister is furious with me now and says I “threw her under the bus” over something that wasn’t even my business.

She says our parents are extremely strict and that she only lied because she knew they wouldn’t approve of the trip. She also says I could have just said she was sleeping and avoided the whole situation.

She simply doesn’t want to get involved…

I told her that if she wants to lie to them, that’s her choice, but I’m not going to lie for her.

Now she’s telling the whole family that I’m jealous of her relationship and deliberately wanted to get her in trouble.

A couple of relatives agree with her and say I should have just kept my mouth shut.

I honestly didn’t think this would turn into such a huge fight.”
