This Three Minute Break Will Give You a New Appreciation for our Planet

The Pale Blue Dot is a photograph of planet Earth taken in 1990 by the Voyager 1 space probe from a record distance of about 6 billion kilometers (3.7 billion miles). At the request of Carl Sagan, the Voyager 1 spacecraft was commanded by NASA to turn its camera around and take a photo of Earth.

In the video above we listen to the great Carl Sagan reflect on this timeless image while Reid Gower wonderfully edits footage from human history.
