David Colhoun and his friend were climbing the Dark Shadows route in Nevada when a free soloist (i.e., no ropes) politely asked to pass. Just watching this made my palms sweat and heart race.
Colhoun says he was about 275 feet (83 m) above the ground and that this third pitch (where he passed) is rated a 5.8.
