Incredible footage shows a giraffe protecting her calf from a pride of lions. The footage was captured at the Kicheche Bush Camp in the heart of the Olare Motorogi Conservancy in the Masai Mara by Bill and Barbara Westbrook.
Giraffe gestation lasts 400–460 days, after which a single calf is normally born. A newborn giraffe is about 1.8 m (6 ft) tall. [source]
